Kernel Canonical Variate Analysis for Nonlinear Dynamic Process Monitoring
Effective monitoring of industrial processes provides many benefits. However, for dynamic processes with strong nonlinearity many existing techniques still cannot give satisfactory monitoring performance. This is evidenced by the well known Tennessee Eastman (TE) benchmark process, where some faults, e.g. Faults 3 and 9, have not been comfortably detected by almost all data-driven approaches pu...
متن کاملLearning Representations with a Dynamic Objective Sparse Autoencoder
The main objective of an auto-encoder is to reconstruct the input signals via a feature representation of latent variables. The number of latent variables de nes the representational capacity limit of the model. For data sets where some or all signals contain noise there is an unnecessary amount of capacity spent on trying to reconstruct these signals. One solution is to increase the number of ...
متن کاملStructured Sparse Convolutional Autoencoder
This paper aims to improve the feature learning in Convolutional Networks (Convnet) by capturing the structure of objects. A new sparsity function is imposed on the extracted featuremap to capture the structure and shape of the learned object, extracting interpretable features to improve the prediction performance. The proposed algorithm is based on organizing the activation within and across f...
متن کاملParallelizing the Sparse Autoencoder
The objective of this project is to take the Spase Autoencoder algorithm, as presented at: http://www.stanford.edu/class/archive/cs/cs294a/cs294a.1104/handouts.html , and develop methods for parallelizing, and possibly distributing the computation. In addition, the language Go, was chosen as the language to implement the algorithm, because it is a language designed with parallel computation as ...
متن کاملUsing Temporal Logic for Spatial Reasoning: Temporalized Propositional Neighborhood Logic
In this paper we develop a new modal logic for spatial reasoning called Temporalized Propositional Neighborhood Logic, which is the result of the application of a known technique called temporalization to a known temporal logic for spatial reasoning (PNL). We will show that our logic is expressive enough to formalize interesting spatial statements and that it is decidable in NEXPTIME.
